Baroque Alto 440                 The baroque altos are available in two versions.

Stanesby copy This instrument is based on a Stanesby Sr. Recorder in the Frans Bryggen collection with an original pitch of a=406 Hz. Besides the transposition to a = 440Hz, I have made a very minor change of the bore in order to achieve a more convenient intonation of the high e and f. Arvidsson original BA440 This instrument have a new type of bore, which I has developed with starting point in acoustic and mathematical ideas. My goal was to achieve a better egality in the sound and an attack over the complete range, note the Arvidsson bore, and I dare say that I succeeded in this attempt. As exterior I kept the Stanesby profile, which I highly estimate due to it´s powerful beauty. The instruments can be delivered with double or single holes, and built in either boxwood or grenadilla.   Price both versions:                              € 1250.00 VAT included.
